información, diseño descriptivo – no experimental y correlacional – transversal.
The research work has the purpose of establishing the relationship between
procrastination and academic stress in 4th and 5th high school students of the Proyecto
Ingeniería Mathematical School, Cusco-2021. It corresponds to the quantitative approach,
descriptive - correlational with non-experimental - cross-sectional design, to collect
information the instruments called: Academic Procrastination Scale and SISCO Inventory of
academic stress were applied, processed using descriptive and inferential statistics. It was
identified that procrastination in the educational reality of students presents a direct and
significant relationship with academic stress, since at a higher level of academic stress, students
look for ways to avoid worry that change it for activities that calm them down momentarily,
harming its normal development.
