Aplicación de webinars y su efecto en el rendimiento académico en la asignatura de Endodoncia en estudiantes de la Escuela Profesional de Estomatología de la Universidad Andina del Cusco - 2022

Abstract

La finalidad del presente trabajo de investigación fue analizar el efecto de la aplicación de webinars en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de la asignatura de Endodoncia de la Universidad Andina del Cusco durante el año 2022. Se realizó un estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, alcance explicativo y diseño experimental (cuasi –experimental) longitudinal donde se evaluó a 35 estudiantes de la asignatura en mención, el tipo de ensayo fue el ensayo crossover y se les aplicó un pretest y un postest a ambos grupos con los temas relacionados a la primera y segunda unidad respectivamente, aplicando el webinar en el grupo experimental. Se utilizó la prueba t de Student para el análisis de resultados y se halló que la media aritmética del grupo experimental fue 14,49 puntos y del grupo control fue 8,37 puntos, y el p-valor obtenido fue de 0,000 siendo menor a la significancia α=0,05 por lo cual se rechaza la hipótesis nula (H0) y se acepta la hipótesis alterna (H1), concluyendo que la aplicación de webinars presenta efecto significativo en la mejora del rendimiento académico en los estudiantes de la asignatura de Endodoncia.

The purpose of this research work was to analyze the effect of the application of webinars on the academic performance of students in the subject of Endodontics at the Universidad Andina del Cusco during the year 2022. A study with a quantitative approach, explanatory scope and longitudinal experimental design (quasi-experimental) was carried out where 35 students of the subject in question were evaluated, the type of test was the crossover test and a pretest and a posttest were applied to both groups with the topics related to the first and second unit respectively, applying the webinar in the experimental group. The Student's t-test was used for the analysis of results and it was found that the arithmetic mean of the experimental group was 14.49 points and of the control group was 8.37 points, and the p-value obtained was 0.000 being less than the significance α=0.05 so the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted, concluding that the application of webinars presents significant effect in the improvement of academic performance in the students of the subject of Endodontics.
