Violencia obstétrica en parturientas atendidas en el Hospital de Quillabamba Cusco 2023

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación titulado: “Violencia Obstétrica en Parturientas Atendidas en el Hospital de Quillabamba Cusco 2023”, tuvo como objetivo mixto determinar la violencia obstétrica durante el trabajo de parto en parturientas atendidas en el Hospital de Quillabamba-Cusco 2023. El método fue de enfoque mixto con énfasis cuantitativo, alcance descriptivo, diseño no experimental, transversal, fenomenológico. Se utilizó dos muestras para el análisis cuantitativo un total de 100 parturientas y para del análisis cualitativo se entrevistó a 6 parturientas. Los resultados respecto al análisis cuantitativo hallaron violencia obstétrica en la dimensión abuso verbal en 11,0% con un nivel medio; en la dimensión abuso físico 14,0% en nivel medio; en la dimensión intervenciones obstétricas 22,0% nivel medio; en la dimensión cumplimiento de las normas profesionales de atención obstétrica 51,0% nivel medio; en el nivel de violencia obstétrica en general 57,0% lo percibió como bajo, 41,0% medio y el 2,0% alto. En este sentido se concluye que las parturientas enfrentaron situaciones de violencia verbal, físico, institucional y en el cumplimiento de las normas profesionales. Con relación a los resultados cualitativos, las parturientas reportaron violencia obstétrica durante los tres periodos de parto y una amplia gama de transgresiones institucionales, muchas de las cuales surgieron por la falta de consentimiento informado y una limitada privacidad. Los testimonios revelaron dolor y miedo intensificados por la restricción de acompañamiento, una atención médica indiferente y deshumanizada. Asimismo, las narrativas destacaron la falta de empatía, descuido y dejadez durante el parto, con personal de salud distante y un entorno institucional poco acogedor.

The present research titled: "Obstetric Violence in Parturients Attended at the Hospital of Quillabamba-Cusco 2023," aimed to determine obstetric violence during labor in parturients attended at the Hospital of Quillabamba-Cusco 2023. The method was of a mixed approach with a quantitative emphasis, descriptive scope, non-experimental, cross sectional, with phenomenological design. Two samples were used for the quantitative analysis, a total of 100 parturients, and for the qualitative analysis, 6 parturients were interviewing. The results regarding the quantitative analysis found obstetric violence in the verbal abuse dimension in 11,0% with a medium level; in the physical abuse dimension 14,0% at a medium level; in the obstetric interventions dimension 22,0% at a medium level, in the dimension of compliance with professional obstetric care standards 51.0% at a medium level, in the level of obstetric violence in general, 57,0% perceived it as low, 41,0% medium, and 2,0% high. In conclusion the parturients face many situations involving verbal, physics, institutional and in the compliance with professional obstetric care standars violence. Regarding the qualitative results, the parturients reported episodes of obstetric violence in the three moments of labor and wide range of institutional transgressions, many of which arose from the lack of informed consent and limited privacy. The testimonies highlighted experiences of pain and fear, exacerbated by the restriction of companionship and often indifferent and dehumanized medical care. The narratives highlighted a severe lack of protection and empathy at various stages of the labor process and perceptions of an institutional environment lacking comfort and warmth.
