Introducción: La Artritis Reumatoide (AR) considerada como un trastorno inflamatorio crónico,
resulta en una patología que causa discapacidad y afección en la calidad de vida. Es realmente
necesario comprender a la persona en todo aspecto, saber cómo se siente física y psicológicamente,
su relación cotidiana y cómo puede llevar adelante su vida, es por ello que tener en consideración
la calidad de vida y la capacidad funcional de estos pacientes incentiva a realizar el presente
estudio.
Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre calidad de vida y capacidad funcional en pacientes con
Artritis Reumatoide del hospital II de Abancay 2023-2024
Métodos: Se trata de un estudio descriptivo, cuantitativo, transversal, analítico. Con una muestra
total de 72 pacientes diagnosticados con Artritis Reumatoide en el hospital II- Essalud de la ciudad
de Abancay, que acuda a consulta y sea evaluado mediante los cuestionarios validados
internacionalmente calidad de vida (QoL-RA) y capacidad funcional (HAQ) durante el periodo
Noviembre-Enero 2023-2024.
Resultados: En relación a calidad de vida y capacidad se obtuvo un valor de Rho de Spearman de
-0.557, con un p-valor de menor a 0.05. De esta forma, se puede afirmar que existe una relación
negativa y moderada entre el puntaje del cuestionario QoL-RA, y del cuestionario HAQ lo cual se
traduce a que existe una asociación moderada, y estadísticamente significativa entre el nivel de
discapacidad y la calidad de vida. Conclusiones: Los pacientes con Artritis Reumatoide del hospital II de Abancay presentan una
relación entre calidad de vida y capacidad funcional, ya que a medida que se incrementa el nivel
de discapacidad se reduce el nivel de calidad de vida y viceversa. Introduction: Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), considered a chronic inflammatory disorder, results in
a pathology that causes disability and affects the quality of life. It is really necessary to understand
the person in every aspect, to know how they feel physically and psychologically, their daily
relationship and how they can carry on with their life, which is why taking into consideration the
quality of life and functional capacity of these patients encourages carry out the present study.

with Rheumatoid Arthritis at hospital II of Abancay 2023-2024
Methods: This is a descriptive, quantitative, cross-sectional, analytical study. With a total sample
of 72 patients diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at the II-Essalud hospital in the city of
Abancay, who came for consultation and were evaluated using the internationally validated quality
of life (QoL-RA) and functional capacity (HAQ) questionnaires during the period November-
January 2023-2024.
Results: In relation to quality of life and capacity, a Spearman's Rho value of -0.557 was obtained,
with a p-value of less than 0.05. In this way, it can be stated that there is a negative and moderate
relationship between the score of the QoL-RA questionnaire and the HAQ questionnaire, which
means that there is a moderate and statistically significant association between the level of
disability and the quality of life. Conclusions: Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis at hospital II of Abancay present a
relationship between quality of life and functional capacity, since as the level of disability
increases, the level of quality of life reduces and vice versa.
