El estudio buscó determinar la relación que existe entre inteligencia emocional y motivación
educativa en los estudiantes del Instituto Superior de Música Público Leandro Alviña
Miranda de Cusco, 2022. Mediante un estudio cuantitativo de alcance correlacional y diseño
no experimental transversal se evaluó a 128 estudiantes. Los instrumentos de medición
fueron el Inventario Emocional BarOn ICE: NA – abreviado y la Escala de Motivación
Educativa (EME). Los resultados específicos mostraron que existe mayormente nivel medio
de inteligencia emocional en ambos programas educativos, por otra parte, se encontraron
niveles muy bajos de motivación educativa. En general se encontró una relación positiva
débil entre inteligencia emocional y motivación educativa (r = 0.34, p = < 0.01). Es
fundamental promover la inteligencia emocional y la motivación educativa en los estudiantes
para mejorar su bienestar y desempeño académico. The study sought to determine the relationship that exists between emotional intelligence
and educational motivation in the students of the Leandro Alviña Miranda Public Music
Higher Institute in Cusco, 2022. Through a quantitative study of correlational scope and nonexperimental
cross-sectional design, 128 students were evaluated. The measurement
instruments were the BarOn Emotional Inventory ICE: NA – abbreviated and the
Educational Motivation Scale (EME). The specific results showed that there is mostly a
medium level of emotional intelligence in both educational programs, on the other hand,
very low levels of educational motivation were found. In general, a weak positive
relationship was found between emotional intelligence and educational motivation (r = 0.34,
p = < 0.01). It is essential to promote emotional intelligence and educational motivation in
students to improve their well-being and academic performance.
