dc.description.abstract | Introducción: La Organización Mundial de la Salud define la salud mental como un
estado de bienestar en el que un individuo comprende sus capacidades, es capaz de hacer
frente al estrés normal de la vida, es capaz de trabajar de forma productiva y es capaz de
hacer las cosas. Durante la pandemia de COVID-19, el miedo a contraer el virus,
combinado con los cambios en la vida diaria provocados por los esfuerzos por contener
y detener la propagación del virus, han provocado cambios en la salud física y mental de
las personas y los profesionales de la salud. especialmente aquellos responsables de
atender a pacientes infectados, por lo que es importante evaluar la salud mental de estos
individuos que tienen mayor riesgo de infectarse. Objetivos: Evaluar la salud mental del
personal asistencial del Área COVID del Hospital Adolfo Guevara Velasco-EsSalud,
Cusco 2020. Métodos: es un estudio cuantitativo observacional transversal no
experimental correlacional, con la participación de 61 trabajadores del Hospital Adolfo
Guevara Velasco-EsSalud Cusco, a través de una encuesta virtual. La información fue
exportada al software estadístico SPSS versión 27.0 y Excel 2021. Resultados: la
frecuencia de depresión fue de 45,9 y de ansiedad fue de 34,4%. Respecto a la depresión,
se determinó que existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre depresión con la
edad y sexo (0.530 y 0.580, p<0.05), además de relación estadísticamente significativa
entre el nivel de depresión con los equipos de protección, diagnostico COVID-19 (0.550
y 0.450, p<0.05). Respecto a la ansiedad, se determinó que existe relación
estadísticamente significativa entre el nivel de ansiedad con la edad y sexo (0.480 y 0.550,
p<0.05), además de relación estadísticamente significativa entre el nivel de ansiedad y
aspectos laborales como el uso de equipos de protección, el diagnóstico de COVID-19 y
el intervalo entre turnos (0.480, 0.490 y 0.520 respectivamente, p<0.05). Conclusiones:
Se concluyó que la exposición a las Áreas COVID 19 afectan la salud mental del personal.
Existe relación entre las características sociodemográficas y laborales con los síntomas
de depresión y ansiedad. | es_PE |
