Universidad Andina del Cusco, Filial Quillabamba, 2018-I presenta rendimiento
dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this work is to determine the relationship between attitudes towards
mathematics and the academic performance of students at the Universidad Andina del Cusco,
Filial Quillabamba, 2018- I. The method corresponds to the quantitative approach, of a non-
experimental nature, it was used the survey of attitudes towards mathematics and a note record
sheet. The selected sample was random; To verify the hypothesis, the Chi Square statistical test
was used to measure the relationship of the variables and Kendall's Tau-b to measure the level
of correlation. The findings show us that the level of attitude towards mathematics of the
students of the Universidad Andina del Cusco, Filial Quillabamba, is 33.6% low, 29.9%
medium and only 12.4% very high. . 38% of the students of the Universidad Andina del Cusco,
Filial Quillabamba, 2018-I present academic performance in the subject of mathematics of a
bad level; 44.5% of the students show regular level performance and 17.5% show good to very
good academic performance in mathematics subjects. Therefore, it is concluded that there is a
direct and significant relationship between the attitude towards mathematics and the academic
performance of the students of the Andean University of Cusco, Quillabamba Branch (p-
value=0.000<0.005). Therefore, the degree of relationship between the attitude towards
mathematics and academic performance is 44.2%, a value that shows a very high and direct
association between these variables. The students of the Andean University of Cusco with a
low level attitude towards mathematics, 56.5% have poor academic performance and 41.3%
have a regular level; On the other hand, of the students with a very high level of Attitude
towards mathematics, 41.2% present very good academic performance. | en_US |
