dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo valorar el nivel de conocimiento sobre criterios de
hospitalización por infecciones odontogénicas de los cirujanos dentistas de la ciudad del
Cusco, 2022. El estudio fue de tipo no experimental, descriptivo y transversal donde fue
considerada una muestra de 303 cirujanos dentistas. Para evaluar el nivel de conocimiento
con respecto a los criterios de hospitalización por infecciones odontogénicas, fueron
encuestados acerca de evaluación clinica, protocolo de atención, hospitalización por
severidad de lesión y necesidad de hospitalización; todos estos aspectos según sexo, edad,
tiempo de experiencia y universidad de procedencia. Los resultados demostraron el nivel de
conocimiento sobre criterios de hospitalización por infecciones odontogénicas fue regular
(63%); tanto el sexo masculino como femenino demostraron un conocimiento regular,
(F=35.6%, M=27.4%), según grupo de edad el mayor porcentaje fue deficiente en la adultez
temprana y adultez tardía (10.2% y 2.3% respectivamente), según tiempo de experiencia fue
deficiente en los de 1 a 5 años (14.5%) observándose una tendencia a aumentar el nivel de
conocimiento según el tiempo de experiencia profesional y según universidad de origen tanto
los egresados de la universidad pública como de la privada el mayor porcentaje fue regular
en ambos (21.8% y 41.3% respectivamente). El nivel de conocimiento sobre criterios de
hospitalización por infecciones odontogénicas según la dimensión evaluación clinica fue
deficiente (81.8%), según la dimensión protocolo de atención fue bueno. (50.8%), según la
dimensión hospitalización por severidad de la lesión fue buena. (53.1%) y según la
dimensión necesidad de hospitalización fue deficiente. (41.6%). Concluyéndose que el nivel
de conocimiento de los cirujanos dentistas con respecto a criterios de hospitalización por
infecciones odontogénicas es regular. | es_PE |
dc.description.abstract | The objective of this study was to assess the level of knowledge about hospitalization criteria
for odontogenic infections of dental surgeons in the city of Cusco, 2022. The study was non-
experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional, where a sample of 303 dental surgeons was
considered. . To assess the level of knowledge regarding the criteria for hospitalization for
odontogenic infections, they were questioned about clinical evaluation, care protocol,
hospitalization due to severity of injury, and need for hospitalization; all these aspects
according to sex, age, length of experience and university of origin. The results showed that
the level of knowledge about hospitalization criteria for odontogenic infections was regular
(63%); both the male and female sex demonstrated regular knowledge (F=35.6%,
M=27.4%), according to age group the highest percentage was deficient in early adulthood
and late adulthood (10.2% and 2.3% respectively), according to time of experience was
deficient in those from 1 to 5 years (14.5%), observing a tendency to increase the level of
knowledge according to the time of professional experience and according to the university
of origin, both the graduates of the public and private universities, the highest percentage
was regular in both (21.8% and 41.3% respectively). The level of knowledge about
hospitalization criteria for odontogenic infections according to the clinical evaluation
dimension was deficient (81.8%), according to the care protocol dimension it was good.
