endoscopia, y 62 pacientes (40%) no presentaron helicobacter pylori.
| es_PE |
dc.description.abstract | Introduction: the presence of helicobacter pylori in patients with gastritis alters the flow
and functionality of gastric acid production in the stomach, finding a relationship with the
presence of GERD esophagitis. For this reason, it is important to determine the
association of these variables. Objective: To know the association between erosive
esophagitis and gastritis with/without Helicobacter Pylori in the Gastroenterology service
of the Regional Hospital of Cusco, from the period 2020 - 2021. Material and Method:
The study is associative, retrospective, correlational. Sampling was probabilistic. A
sample of 155 patients was collected and the data was analyzed in the SPSS 21 program.
Chi-square and parametric measures were used. Results: 155 patients with gastritis who
entered the study. 93 patients with gastritis (60%) had helicobacter pylori according to
endoscopy, and 62 patients (40%) did not present helicobacter pylori. A statistically
significant inverse association was found in patients with gastritis with/without helicobacter pylori and the presence of esophagitis. The chi square is 4.306 with a
significance level of 0.038. phi: -0.17. There was a statistically significant association
between patients with gastritis with/without helicobacter and the angel’s classification of
esophagitis. The chi square is 4.444 with a significance level of 0.035.
Conclusions: A very strong inverse association was found between the presence of
helicobacter pylori and erosive esophagitis in patients with gastritis. A statistically
significant association was found between the presence of helicobacter pylori and
cigarette and chocolate consumption in patients who developed gastritis. | en_US |
