Observacional Descriptivo y analítico, Cuantitativo, Prospectivo, Transversal, No
experimental.
| es_PE |
dc.description.abstract | Objective:
Identify the level of anxiety of the students of the IX semester regarding the dental
treatment in children attended at the Luis Vallejos Santoni stomatological clinic
of the Andean University of Cusco 2020
Materials and Methods: This study corresponds to an observational, descriptive
and analytical, quantitative, prospective, cross-sectional, non-experimental
investigation the sample consisted of 26 students from the professional school of
stomatology of the IX semester who are enrolled in the course of clinical pediatric
dentistry at the Andean University of Cusco, which were selected by nonprobability
sampling for convenience. The technique of this research was a
survey, the instrument was a 10-item questionnaire developed and validated in the
present investigation.
Results: in the present study, they show that pediatric dentistry treatments
generate a medium level of anxiety with a percentage of (61.5%) While in the
non-invasive treatments in relation to the sex of the students, we obtained in the
male sex the highest percentage of the level of anxiety was medium (23.1%) and
in the female sex the average anxiety level was (30.8%)As can be seen in the level
of anxiety compared to non-invasive pediatric dental treatment in both sexes, the
level of anxiety was medium. According to the chi-square statistical test, this
association was not significant p = 0.640 (p> 0.05), that is, the level of anxiety is
not associated with sex On the other hand, the level of anxiety compared to
invasive treatments according to the sex of the students, we obtained the following
results in males the highest percentage of mean anxiety level was (30.8%) and in
females the mean anxiety level was (26.9%) according to the chi-square statistical
test this association was not significant p = 0.123 (p > 0.05) means that the level
of anxiety regarding invasive pediatric dental treatment is not associated with sex | en_US |
