Tamizaje en cirujanos dentistas con depresión, ansiedad, estrés y miedo al Covid-19 del Centro Histórico del Cusco, 2022

Abstract

Desde la aparición del Coronavirus en el año 2020 viene afectando gravemente a países tercermundista como Perú, los cirujanos dentistas tienen mayor probabilidad de contagiarse principalmente desde el momento que el paciente se retira la mascarilla y se procede a realizar el tratamiento odontológico utilizando herramientas que propagan el virus, añadiendo las alteraciones de personalidad en las que viene el paciente, lo cual genera una rutina de vida monótona en estos profesionales; por ende en vista de este problema empiezan a surgir malestares como depresión, ansiedad, estrés y miedo que generan inconveniencias a nivel profesional y familiar; Este estudio tuvo como objetivo tamizar la depresión, ansiedad, estrés y miedo al coronavirus en cirujanos dentistas del centro histórico del cusco, se planteó una metodología con un enfoque cuantitativo, alcance descriptivo, diseño transversal y prospectivo donde se utilizó un muestreo no probabilístico intención (voluntaria), dicha encuesta se distribuyó de manera presencial y virtual emitido desde el 21 de enero al 12 de febrero del 2022, conformada por los ítems de DASS-21 y FCV-19S con un alfa de cronbach para depresión ,832; ansiedad ,778; estrés ,822 y miedo ,850; se encontró 192 profesionales en 134 consultorio dentales, sin embargo solo se codifico 94 encuestas, además se utilizó estadística descriptiva básica. Los resultados evidenciaron depresión leve 19.1% y moderado 13.8%, seguido de ansiedad moderada 34% y severa 10.6%, continuando con estrés leve 9.6% y moderada 9.6%, por otra parte, el 34% manifestaron sentir miedo al Covid-19 en un nivel medio y 6.4% sintieron miedo en un nivel alto, por consiguiente, entre los factores más predominantes se encontró: ser mujer, tener 23 a 30 años, trabajar en centros privados, tener menos de 5 años de experiencia laboral, sin ninguna comorbilidad y haber tenido experiencia al Covid-19. En conclusión, esta investigación demostró la existencia de depresión, ansiedad, estrés y miedo en los Cirujanos Dentistas Cusqueños durante la pandemia por Covid-19.

The results showed mild depression 19.1% and moderate 13.8%, followed by moderate anxiety 34% and severe 10.6%, continuing with mild stress 9.6% and moderate 9.6%, on the other hand, 34% said they felt fear of Covid-19 at a medium level , therefore, among the most predominant factors were: being a woman, being 23 to 30 years old, working in private centers, have less than 5 years of work experience, without any comorbidity and have had experience of Covid-19. In conclusion this research demonstrated the existence of depression, anxiety, stress and fear in Cusco Dental Surgeons during the Covid-19 pandemic.
