dc.description.abstract | En la actualidad los microorganismos están creando resistencia a los antibióticos, por
lo que se está generando una incómoda situación en la terapéutica cotidiana, más aún si le
agregamos la aparición de nuevos patógenos resistentes que aumentan las dificultades para
un tratamiento exitoso. Por lo que se recurre nuevamente a la búsqueda de nuevos productos
naturales que requieren una identificación para ser aplicados en la terapia cotidiana.
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo. Determinar el efecto antibacteriano in
vitro del extracto etanólico de la Fragaria ananassa frente al Streptococcus mutans. Para lo
cual se procedió formularse la siguiente hipótesis: Existe efecto antibacteriano del extracto
etanólico de la Fragaria ananassa al 25% y 50% 75% frente al Streptococcus mutans.
Los métodos empleados en la investigación es del tipo experimental in vitro ya que
se manipula de manera intencional la variable independiente evitando la influencia de
variables extrañas, dando así una validez interna, se utilizó como técnica la observación
durante los procedimientos microbiológicos, la medición de los halos inhibitorios del
Streptococcus mutans y como instrumento la ficha de recolección de datos, la interpretación
de los resultados se utilizará la escala de Duraffourd.
Se llegó a los siguientes resultados. Al 95% de confiabilidad según la prueba
ANOVA existen diferencias significativas respecto al halo de inhibición sobre el
Streptococcus mutans respecto al tiempo de exposición al 25% de concentración, (p = 0.000
< 0.05); por lo que se utilizará la prueba post hoc de Tukey para identificar en que tiempos
existen diferencias significativas respecto a la inhibición del Streptococcus mutans. Al 95%
de confiabilidad según la prueba ANOVA existen diferencias significativas respecto al halo
de inhibición sobre el Streptococcus mutans respecto al tiempo de exposición al 50% de
concentración, (p = 0.000 < 0.05); por lo que se utilizará la prueba post hoc de Tukey para
identificar en que tiempos existen diferencias significativas respecto a la inhibición del
Streptococcus mutans. Al 95% de confiabilidad según la prueba ANOVA existen diferencias

dc.description.abstract | Currently, microorganisms are creating resistance to antibiotics, which is creating
an uncomfortable situation in daily therapy, even more so if we add the appearance of new
resistant pathogens that increase the difficulties for successful treatment. Therefore, the
search for new natural products that require identification to be applied in daily therapy is
again used.

effect of the in vitro ethanolic extract of Fragaria ananassa against Streptococcus mutans.
