| es_PE |
dc.description.abstract | OBJECTIVE: The objective of this research is to evaluate the severity level
of Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD) amongst the professors of the
Stomatology department at the Universidad Andina del Cusco. This was
measured using the anamnestic questionnaire proposed by Fonseca.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: A quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental,
observational, transversal and field research; using a non-probabilistic
convenient procedure were selected a sample of 43 stomatology
professors, they were of both genders between 30 to 70 years old of the
Universidad Andina del Cusco
The technique and analysis tool used in this research was a form with
questions regarding working conditions and information such as age,
gender, length of service and employment regime, information provided by
the professors. The instrument used in this research was the anamnesic
questionnaire proposed by Fonseca that consist of 10 questions. This
information was enter into an Excel 2016 data form and it was analyzed
using RStudio with a descriptive statistics. To analyzed a bivariate relation
among age, gender, length of service and employment regime with TMD, it
was used the T Student and Anova test.
RESULTS: The results of those reporting TMD were grouped as mild,
moderate, severe and the ones without TMD. It was observed that 54% of
the professors had mild TMD, 26% were classified as having moderate TMD
and 20% did not have TMD. According to the Anova and the T Student test,
it has been found that there was no relationship between the severities of
TMD relating to the gender, age, employment regime and length of service
of these professors. | en_US |
