Medios distractores que afectan el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes en segunda y tercera matricula de la Escuela Profesional de Estomatologia de la Universidad Andina del Cusco semestre 2019 I.

Abstract

La distracción que no es más que la desviación de la atención cuando este debería atender algo en específico, estos distractores pueden ser internos y externos. Sabemos el principal interés de un estudiante debe ser la adquisición de conocimientos, aprender y prestar atención a la explicación del docente.

Objetivo: Determinar los medios distractores que afectan el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes en segunda y tercera matricula de la escuela profesional de Estomatología de la Universidad Andina del Cusco semestre 2019- I.

Materiales y método: La muestra estuvo conformada por 37 estudiantes escogidos según los criterios de inclusión y exclusión por muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia con edades de 17 a 28 años que se encuentran en segunda y tercera matricula de la escuela profesional de Estomatología de la Universidad Andina del Cusco. Se aplicó un cuestionario estructurado con 22 preguntas.

Resultados: Los distractores externos e internos que afectan el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes en segunda y tercera matricula son los olores emitidos por la planta de tratamiento de aguas servidas un 37.8%, seguido de los ruidos que provienen fuera del salón de clase 29.7% y el cruce de horarios de las diferentes asignaturas 29.7%, la falta de motivación 40.5%, fatiga física 24.3% y problemas familiares 16.2%. Conclusiones: Los medios distractores del rendimiento académico de los estudiantes en segunda y tercera matricula de la escuela profesional de Estomatología según edad, sexo y semestre academico de la Universidad Andina del Cusco semestre 2019- I, están presentes en los estudiantes de 17 a 22 años, de sexo femenino del tercer semestre y cuarto semestre.

We know the main interest of a student should be the acquisition of knowledge, learning and paying attention to the explanation of the teacher. Objective: To determine the distracting means that affect the academic performance of students in second and third enrollment of the professional school of Stomatology of the Andean University of Cusco semester 2019- I. Materials and Methods: The sample consisted of thirty-two students chosen according to the criteria of inclusion and exclusion by non-probabilistic sampling for convenience with ages from seventeen to twenty-eight who are in the second and third enrollment of the professional school of Stomatology of the Andean University of Cusco. A structured questionnaire with twenty-two questions was applied. Results: The external and internal factors that affect the academic performance of students in second and third enrollment are the odors emitted by the sewage treatment plant thirty-seven point eight percent, followed by noises coming from outside the classroom twenty-nine point seven percent and the crossing of timetables from the different subjects twenty-nine point seven percent, lack of motivation forty point five percent, physical fatigue twenty-four point three percent and family problems were two percent at the ages of seventeen to twenty-two years, female in the fourth semester and the third semester. Conclusions: According to the chi-square statistical test the associations were not significant; it means that internal and external factors have no influence on academic performance according to age, sex and academic semester.
