antiinflamatorio del gel de geranio mediante controles clínicos según el tiempo;
pelargonium zonale presenta actividad antiinflamatoria. | es_PE |
dc.description.abstract | Periodontal disease is a public health problem that is found usually in young

13.5%, meanwhile in the city of Cusco reveals 42.5%, all due to poor or lack of
hygiene orally, there are many periodontal and oral diseases, it even leads to
other diseases such as digestive diseases, which also it diminishes the quality of
life of the settlers.
The species Pelargonium zonale “geranium“ that belongs to the family
geraniaceae is used in traditional medicine mainly as anti-inflammatory.
The purpose of this study was to determine the anti-inflammatory effect of the gel
Pelargonium zonale (geranium) in Cavia Porcellus Porcellus Linnaeus with acute
gingivitis, as specific objectives was to determine the effect anti -inflammatory
geranium gel by clinical controls according to time;
evaluate the anti-inflammatory effect of the Pelargonium zonale gel and compare
with the anti-inflammatory activity that gingisone presents. The prosthesis was
accepted alternating that indicates that the gel of Pelargonium zonale (geranium)
has an effect anti-inflammatory in Cavia Porcellus Porcellus Linnaeus with acute
gingivitis, Cusco 2017.
Gingivitis is the beginning of periodontal disease. The illness periodontal is
inflammation and infection that destroy supporting tissues of the teeth. This may
include gums, periodontal ligaments and bone.
Gingivitis is due to the short-term effects of plaque deposits in teeth.
To evaluate the anti-inflammatory activity in Cavia Porcellus Porcellus Linnaeus
with acute gingivitis, a quantitative experimental design study was conducted
where the results that were obtained were the following: After 72 hours it was
observed that with the pelargonium gel zonale 2 samples They presented gingiva
with pink coloration which means that it is deflated and 3 coral pink samples gum
completely healthy; for gingisona 5 samples rose coral gums completely healthy
and for water 2 sample slight violaceous and 3 intense red samples which means
that the gums still They are inflamed. With these results we can say that both geranium and gingisona They have an
anti-inflammatory effect.
It is observed that there is a highly significant difference in the color observed at
4 hours and 72 hours in geranium, gingisona and water. For geranium When
performing the analysis of variance of the area for the anti-inflammatory effect
according to time of onset and final time after applying treatment were obtained
following results: Start time there is no significant difference to the apply geranium
gel, gingisone, water; but after 72 hours Sig is equal to 0.00 which means that
there is a highly significant difference what means that the gel of pelargonium
zonale has similar behavior to the gingisone with these results we conclude that
when evaluating the anti-inflammatory effect of gel of pelargonium zonale by
clinical controls according to time and comparing it with the effect of gingisone,
values of p = 0.000 statistically significant so we can say that the gel of
pelargonium zonale presents anti-inflammatory activity. | en_US |
