Relación entre la gingivitis, caries dental y el estado nutricional en niños de 6 a 10 años de la I. E. N° 50590 Jesús Lambarry de Huayoccari, Cusco-2018.

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación existente entre la gingivitis, caríes dental y el estado nutricional en niños de 6 a 10 años en la Institución Educativa Estatal Jesús Lambarri. Se trabajó con una población integrada por 136 alumnos, inscritos en el año escolar 2018. El estudio es de tipo correlacional, descriptivo, transversal, de campo, cuantitativo, observacional. Como instrumento se utilizó una ficha clínica elaborada para la investigación, instrumental de diagnóstico y sonda periodontal. El procesamiento de datos se realizó utilizando el programa de SPSS Statistics 24.0, se utilizó estadística descriptiva con distribuciones de frecuencia, tablas de contingencia y prueba de chi cuadrado para establecer si existe una relación entre las variables se usó como medida de significancia, para buscar el p valor con intervalos de confianza del 95%. Según los resultados se encontró que, existe una relación estadísticamente significativa entre la gingivitis, caries dental y el estado nutricional. Se encontró también una relación estadísticamente significativa entre la caries dental con la edad de los niños, pero no se encontró una relación entre el estado nutricional con la edad y sexo de los niños y tampoco una relación entre el Índice de gingivitis con la edad y sexo de los niños de 6 a 10 años en la Institución Educativa Jesús Lambarry de Huayoccari.

This research work was aimed at determining the relationship between gingivitis, dental caries and nutritional status in children between 6 and 10 years in the State Educational Institution Jesús Lambarry was worked with a population integrated by 136 students, registered in the school year 2018. The study is of correlational type, descriptive, transversal, field, quantitative, observational. As an instrument, a clinical record was used for research, Diagnostic instruments and periodontal probes. Data processing was performed using the SPSS statistics 24 program, descriptive statistics were used with frequency distributions, contingency tables and chi-square test to establish whether there is a relationship between the variables was used as Significance measurement, to find the P value with confidence intervals of 95%. According to the results, it was found that, there is a statistically significant relationship between gingivitis, tooth decay and nutritional status, a statistically significant relationship between tooth decay with the age of children was also found. but We did not find a statistically significant relationship between the nutritional status with the age and sex of the children and also a relationship between the index of gingivitis with the age and sex of children from 6 to 10 years in the educational institution Jesús Huayoccari.
