dc.dateThe present thesis of investigation had as main objective to make an analysis of the road capacity and level of service of the intersections signalized: Av. 28 de Julio - 3rd Paradero de Ttio, Av. La Cultura - Manuel Prado, Prolongación Av. La Cultura - Andean University of Cusco in comparison to an intersection with unevenness subjected to the same demand of vehicular flow. For the determination of the traffic conditions, the corresponding vehicular and pedestrian capacity was made at these intersections, considered the hours of greatest demand. Likewise for the determination of geometric conditions of the intersections the topographic survey was carried out. Finally, for the determination of sanfortified conditions, a detailed inventory of the behavior of traffic lights and signaling at each intersection was made. With the data obtained, we proceeded to calculate the road capacity and service level based on the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM 2010), which is incorporated in the Synchro 8.0 simulation software, which allowed us to simulate these intersections in its Actual state. The projection of future traffic volume was carried out at 5,10,15,20 years in the intersections studied. With these volumes, the aforementioned procedure was performed to calculate the road capacity and service level with its respective simulation for each scenario. With the results obtained it was determined in which year the overpass should be implemented. Similarly with these volumes, the traffic simulation was carried out using VISSIM software to determine the road capacity and service level in that year. In conclusion, with the proper implementation of an overpass at each intersection, it results in a higher road capacity and a better level of service for the roads.en_US

dc.description.abstractLa presente tesis de investigación tuvo como objetivo principal hacer un análisis de la capacidad vial y nivel de servicio de las intersecciones semaforizadas: Av. 28 de Julio – 3er Paradero de Ttio, Av. La Cultura – Manuel Prado, Prolongación Av. La Cultura – Universidad Andina del Cusco en comparación a una intersección a desnivel sometida a la misma demanda de flujo vehicular. Para la determinación de las condiciones de tráfico se realizó el correspondiente aforo vehicular y peatonal en dichas intersecciones, considerado las horas de mayor demanda. Así mismo para la determinación de condiciones geométricas de las intersecciones se realizó el levantamiento topográfico. Finalmente, para la determinación de condiciones sanforizadas se realizó un inventario detallado del comportamiento de los semáforos y señalización en cada intersección. Con los datos obtenidos se procedió al cálculo de la capacidad vial y nivel de servicio basado en el Highway Capacity Manual (HCM 2010) el cual está incorporado en el software de simulación Synchro 8.0, dicho software nos permitió realizar la simulación de dichas intersecciones en su estado actual. Se procedió a realizar la proyección de volumen trafico futuro a 5,10,15,20 años en las intersecciones estudias. Con dichos volúmenes, se realizó el procedimiento anteriormente mencionado para el cálculo de la capacidad vial y nivel de servicio con su respectiva simulación para cada escenario. Con los resultados obtenidos se determinó en que año se debería implementar el pase a desnivel. De igual forma con dichos volúmenes se procedió a la simulación del tránsito con ayuda del software VISSIM para determinar la capacidad vial y nivel de servicio en dicho año. En conclusión, con la implementación adecuada de un pase a desnivel en cada intersección, da como resultado una mayor capacidad vial y un mejor nivel de servicio para las vías.es_PE
