nivel bueno, 45,4% regular y 3,1% malo.

dc.description.abstract | The research titled "Impact of an Educational Intervention on Knowledge about
Immunizations and Vaccines in Mothers of Children Under 05 Years at the Huaro
Health Post, Cusco - 2023", aimed to evaluate the effect of an educational
intervention on mothers' knowledge about immunizations and vaccines. The
method adopted was quantitative, with an explanatory scope, and a cuasiexperimental
and longitudinal experimental design; the sample encompassed
130 mothers of children under 05 years from the Huaro Health Post. A survey
was employed as an instrument both before and after the educational
intervention. The findings revealed that 43.8% of the mothers are aged between
31 to 40, 67.7% are cohabiting, 40.8% have two children, 58.5% possess
secondary education, 50.0% are housewives, 70.0% speak both Quechua and
Spanish, and 76.2% earn 1000 soles or less. Regarding mothers' knowledge
level in the pre-test, 64.6% had a poor level, 28.5% were rated regular, and 6.9%
good; in the post-test, 51.5% achieved a good level, 45.4% regular, and 3.1%
remained poor. The positive enhancement from the educational intervention in
the mothers' knowledge about immunizations and vaccines was identified using
the Wilcoxon statistical test, showcasing a statistically significant difference in
means (Z=-9.645 and p= 0.000) between pre-test and post-test. This concludes
that the educational intervention significantly improves mothers' knowledge about
immunizations and vaccines. | en_US |
