Over the years and the present, the automotive park in the department of Cusco and the Province
of Anta, City of Izcuchaca. It has grown exponentially, causing vehicular congestion problems,
which occurs in the road corridor of the PE-3S National Highway with the respective road
intersections in the city of Izcuchaca.
Added to this, the geometry of the National Highway PE-3S which passes through the town of
Izcuchaca in the Province of Anta, in which most of the roads, especially arterial roads, have
been designed in the 80s to 2000, do not having practically comprehensive modifications from
those decades to the present date.
The opposite happens with the composition and vehicular flow, which notoriously suffered
great changes due to the increase in population and economic activities, which is more
noticeable in the Province of Anta, City of Izcuchaca, where the highest pedestrian density is
presented. and vehicular, there are also motorcycle taxi services which have considerable
participation in vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Therefore, it is necessary to carry out an analysis of the vehicular circulation of the current state,
including the traffic light operating system, after which, propose a solution proposal in the city
of Izcuchaca, the solution being traffic light optimization, elimination of turns and the approach
of an alternate road which works parallel to the analyzed road, thus achieving better vehicular
and pedestrian circulation.
