The present research study was carried out with the purpose of analyzing the relationship
between the quality of service and the institutional image of the Professional School of
Systems Engineering of the Andean University of Cusco- 2018. The methodology used in
the realization of the thesis was a quantitative approach. With a level of descriptive study,
correlational. The research design corresponds to the non-experimental correlational
transversal type. The population was constituted by 445 students of the Professional School
of Systems Engineering of the Andean University of Cusco in 2018, a sample size was
determined that was represented by 207 students to whom a questionnaire of both variables
was applied, the test reliability was performed with 20 respondents, where a Cronbach's
alpha coefficient of 0.916 was reached for the quality of service variable and 0.757, for the
institutional image variable, whit an acceptable level. Regarding the results, it was evidenced
that the variables of study quality of service and the institutional image maintain a direct
relationship perceived by the students of the Professional School of Systems Engineering of
the Andean University of Cusco in 2018, with the significance of (p = 0.000 <0.05) and
Kendall's Tau_b = 0.548. Obtaining the following conclusions: 56% of the quality of service
is good, but there is a 17.9% of students who perceive that it is fair to bad, the institutional
image is good in 62%, but there is 22.7% of students who perceive that it is fair to bad and,
the dimensions of the quality of service are directly related with the institutional image.
