Despite the vast literature in the international context on the Arbitrage Pricing Theory, there are no published works publicly to prove empirically this model for the Peruvian Stock Market, this despite being a model with many years of history and being the most representative multifactorial model of the last years. This paper aims to fill this gap from research model through the methodology of Fama and Macbeth in a portfolio of the most liquid shares on the Lima Stock Exchange, choosing five factors a priori and having as dependent variable return equity. The results show that the factors chosen don’t explain the stock returns for the whole period, but for one of the sub-periods, the period between January 2011 and August 2015, so in the second sub-period three of the factors were shown to be statistically significant; this fact makes the analysis interesting because the more satisfactory results were found only between these periods of greater macroeconomic stability.en_US
