Nivel de conocimiento sobre alimentación complementaria en madres de niños de 6 a 8 meses, Centro de Salud San Jerónimo, Cusco-2020

Abstract

Título de la investigación “NIVEL DE CONOCIMIENTO SOBRE ALIMENTACIÓN COMPLEMENTARIA EN MADRES DE NIÑOS DE 6 A 8 MESES, CENTRO DE SALUD SAN JERÓNIMO, CUSCO-2020”. OBJETIVO: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre alimentación complementaria en madres de niños de 6 a 8 meses, Centro de Salud San Jerónimo, Cusco 2020. METODOLOGÍA: Es un estudio descriptivo y transversal, con una muestra de 82 madres, el instrumento utilizado fue la encuesta y la validación fue mediante el juicio de expertos. RESULTADOS: El 46.3% de madres tienen edades entre 18-24 años, 69.5% grado de instrucción secundaria, 81.7% son convivientes, 51.2% presento dos hijos, 78% son amas de casa y el 75.6% tienen procedencia urbana. En cuanto al nivel de conocimiento sobre alimentación complementaria en madres de niños de 6 a 8 meses, fue regular con un 96.3%, el 2.4% tuvo un conocimiento bueno y el 1.2% malo, el 69.55 conocen sobre la definición de alimentación complementaria, el 84.10% saben que a los 6 meses se inicia con la alimentación complementaria, el 70.7% conoce sobre la consecuencia del inicio precoz, el 84.10% no sabe sobre la consistencia adecuada, el 43,90% no sabe sobre la cantidad.

Research title “LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT COMPLEMENTARY FEEDING IN MOTHERS OF CHILDREN FROM 6 TO 8 MONTHS, CENTRO DE SALUD SAN JERÓNIMO, CUSCO-2020“. OBJECTIVE: To determine the level of knowledge about complementary feeding in mothers of children aged 6 to 8 months, San Jerónimo Health Center, Cusco 2020. METHODOLOGY: It is a descriptive and cross-sectional study, with a sample of 82 mothers, the instrument used was the survey and the validation was through the judgment of experts. RESULTS: 46.3% of mothers are between 18-24 years old, 69.5% have a secondary education level, 81.7% are cohabiting, 51.2% have two children, 78% are housewives and 75.6% have urban origin. Regarding the level of knowledge about complementary feeding in mothers of children aged 6 to 8 months, it was regular with 96.3%, 2.4% had good knowledge and 1.2% bad, 69.55 know about the definition of complementary feeding, the 84.10% know that at 6 months they start with complementary feeding, 70.7% know about the consequence of early onset, 84.10% do not know about the adequate consistency, 43.90% do not know about the amount.
