This thesis sought to propose the architectural design of the mineral-medicinal water complex
in the San Pedro district, applying passive bioclimatic strategies to a therapeutic-recreational
service infrastructure. The objective of the proposal was to establish and systematize passive
bioclimatic strategies in order to use and implement a new infrastructure that provides quality
service. The thesis was based on a theoretical framework, the analysis of national and
international projects according to the research topic, the approved and current regulations;
Climatological information on the site was collected that allowed the extraction of relevant and
appropriate passive bioclimatic criteria for application in the architectural design of the
complex.
The proposal allows to demonstrate architectural design guidelines to project a mineral
medicinal water complex based on passive bioclimatic strategies, in order to take advantage of
the energy and resources offered by the environment; reducing energy demand, achieving the
optimal quality of the indoor environment.
