This research aims to demonstrate how the complementarity between public spending and private investment contribute to the economic growth of the Cusco region during the period 2005-2019, for this purpose begins with a descriptive analysis of the structure and evolution of regional GDP, public expenditure and investment, establishing the performance relationships of expenditure , correlation between spending and investment, in order to finally estimate the meaning and magnitude in which both public spending and private investment contribute to regional growth; official secondary information and reliable sources are used in the process. The results show us that GDP is growing very unstable, while public spending increased regularly, this expenditure achieves satisfactory performance in the generation of VBP; complementarity between public spending and private investment is remarkable and especially when spending is allocated to social, infrastructure and production capacities. Finally, it is estimated that the contribution of public spending is more important than the contribution of private investment to the economic growth of the Cusco region.en_US
