peso y solo 5% presento policitemia.
OR=1,500. The research: “RISK FACTORS RELATED TO NEONATAL JAUNDICE IN THE
ACCHA CUSCO HEALTH CENTER, FROM JANUARY TO DECEMBER 2019“.
OBJECTIVE: To determine which are the risk factors related to neonatal jaundice in
the Accha Health Center during 2019.
METHODOLOGY: Being descriptive, transversal and correlational, with a sample of
21 neonates. The technique used was the documentary observation sheet.
RESULTS: Regarding neonatal jaundice, 86% developed physiological jaundice and
only 14% pathological jaundice, 38% of the newborns were diagnosed in the 2
control, 33% in the third control, 19% in the fourth control and only 10% was
diagnosed in the 1 control. 76% of jaundice cases correspond to mothers aged 21
to 34, while 14% to mothers aged 35 to older, 43% of jaundice cases were only
children, 29% of mothers had 2 children and 10% had more than 3 children, 80% of
the mothers did not have any disease during pregnancy, but 10% had urinary
infection and 5% developed anemia or other pathologies, all of the newborns with
jaundice did not present RH (+) factor , all the mothers received normal prenatal
control, all the newborns had a normal turn off at the 5th minute of life, 86% were
born at term and only 14% were born prematurely, 100% born from normal delivery,
90% with normal weight , 5% was macrosomic and low weight, 90% had a delivery
without obstetric trauma, only 5% had Caput and Cephalohematoma problems, all
the newborns with jaundice received exclusive breastfeeding, but 5% of the
newborns with jaundice had favorable weight gain and only 5% presented
polycythemia. Conclusions: The maternal factors are not related to neonatal
jaundice with a value of OR = OR = 0.667, while the newborn factors are related to
jaundice with a value of OR = 1,500.
