Relación entre el estado nutricional y el nivel de atresia maxilar en niños menores de 14 años comunidad de Qollana Cusco 2018

Abstract

En el presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo establecer la correlación que existe entre el estado nutricional y la atresia maxilar. Con un enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, correlacional, de temporalidad transversal. La población de estudio cuya muestra aleatoria fueron seleccionados 30 niños y 30 niñas en grupos etarios de 10 para 12, 13 y 14 años respectivamente de la comunidad de Qollana del distrito de san Jerónimo se realizó medidas antropométricas del índice de masa corporal midiendo peso y talla para determinar el estado nutricional y a su vez se realizó las medidas de anchos intercanino e intermolar en modelos de estudio para determinar la atresia maxilar para el análisis de resultados se utilizó la prueba ANOVA y chi cuadrado con un nivel de significancia del 0.05. Los resultados muestran que respecto al estado nutricional con la edad se encontró diferencias significativas en el sexo femenino (p=0.013<0.05) y no con el sexo masculino (p=0.0740>0.05). La atresia maxilar fue del 46.7% en el sexo femenino y del 51.7% en el sexo masculino. No se encontró diferencias significativas al comparar la atresia maxilar entre el sexo masculino y femenino (p = 0.438 > 0.05). Se concluye que al relacionar la atresia maxilar con el estado nutricional en el sexo femenino a los 12 años se encontró relación respecto al ancho intermolar a los 13 y 14 años respecto al ancho intercanino. En el sexo masculino a los 13 años se encontró relación tanto del ancho intercanino como el intermolar y a los 14 años solamente con el ancho intermolar en maxilar superior.

The aim of this research work is to establish the correlation that exists between nutritional status and maxillary atresia. With a quantitative approach, non-experimental, correlational desing, of transversal temporality. The study population whose random sample were selected 30 boys and 30 girls in age groups of 10 to 12, 13 and 14 years respectively from the community of Qollana in the district of San Jerónimo. Anthropometric measurements of body mass index were carried out, measuring weight and height. To determine the nutritional status and in turn, measurements of intercanine and intermolar widths were carried out in study models to determine maxillary atresia for the analysis of results, the ANOVA test and chi square were used with a significance level of 0.05. The results show that regarding the nutritional status with age, significance differences were found in the female sex (p = 0.013 < 0.05) and not with the male sex (p = 0.0740 > 0.05). Maxillary atresia was 46.7 % in the female sex and 51.7 % in the male sex. No significant differences were found when comparing maxillary atresia between males and females (p = 0.438 > 0.05). It is concluded that when relating maxillary atresia with nutritional status in females at 12 years of age, a relationship was found with respect to intermolar width at 13 and 14 years with respect to intercanine width. In males, at 13 years of age a relationship was found both between the intercanine and intermolar widths and at 14 years only with the intermolar width in the maxilla.
