dc.description.abstractAntecedentes: El sobrepeso y la obesidad son considerados como la epidemia del siglo XXI, afectando a todos los países, grupos étnicos y edades, afectando a lo largo de las últimas décadas y por su impacto sobre la morbimortalidad y el alto gasto sanitario. La prevalencia en la población infantojuvenil va sobre todo en países de ingresos medianos a bajos. El número de lactantes y niños pequeños son sobrepeso y obesidad se incrementó en todo el mundo, de 31 millones en 1990 a 42 millones en 2013. Pudiendo llegar a los 70 millones en el 2025 si no se interviene. La prevalencia del sobrepeso infantil en niños menores de 05 años de edad ha crecido en los últimos 35 años. En el Perú la prevalencia de la obesidad en niños entre 05 y 09 años de edad fue de 7.3 % en el 2008 se incrementó a 14.8 % en el 2014, siendo preocupante y cada vez más común encontrar en niños y adolescentes, este exceso de peso está muy relacionado a cambios en los estilos de vida cada vez más sedentarias y con dietas que se alejan del patrón alimentario tradicional de cada región, cambios que se convierten en hábitos difíciles de modificar y por lo tanto tiene un enorme impacto en la salud y en la calidad de vida, siendo un problema que incrementa el riesgo de sufrir enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles incluso desde la niñez. Método: Es un estudio descriptivo, analítico de enfoque cuantitativo de diseño observacional y transversal. La muestra de 138 preescolares corresponde a 03 instituciones educativas iniciales particulares del Cusco, del 2020. En los cuales se midió y tallo a cada niño y se realizó el cálculo del índice de masa corporal, se llevó a una tabla de IMC de la CDC para niños y niñas de 2 a 20 años, y determinar por percentiles su condición actual. También se aplicó un cuestionario y el test Kreceplus a los padres. Se obtuvo una base de datos en Microsoft Excel 2013 el cual se añadió al programa SPSS v 25.0 se estudió la relación estadística entre las variables y el exceso de peso, mediante el análisis estadístico Chi ) con nivel de significancia al 95 % (p<0.05) y para el grado de asociación se usó Odds Ratio (OR) con IC al 95 %. 22 (XResultados: la prevalencia del sobrepeso en el presente trabajo 22.5 % y obesidad 4.3% en los niños sobrepeso son 15 varones y 16 mujeres, obesidad son 05 varones y 01 mujer, la característica perinatal; peso al nacer en más de 4 Kg y menos de 2.5 Kg presento un p < 0,05 y Odds Ratio (OR) de 3,783 (1,582 – 9045) IC al 95 %; En cuanto a lactancia mixta o artificial exclusiva en los primeros 06 meses de vida, se tiene un p < 0,05 el OR 2,612 (1,202 – 5,674) IC 95 %, en las características sociales las variables presentaron un p>0.05 no encontrándose relación estadística; en las características familiares se presentó un p > 0.05 para las categorías jornada laboral más de 8 horas, control de crecimiento y desarrollo de 3 a menos visitas al año, alimentación con los padres una vez al día, todos con un p > 0.05, en cambio en las carateristicas horas de sueño menor a 10 horas y aspecto de la imagen corporal (sobrepeso y obesidad) de uno o ambos padres se tiene un p<0.05 y OR 15,943 (2,091121,572) y OR 15,258 (5,773-40,324) con IC al 95 % correspondientes, en la característica ambiental preparación de la lonchera fuera del hogar, actividad física de 3 horas a menos por día, dieta habitual con nivel nutricional bajo se encontró un p<0.05 y OR 36.061 (8,173159,108); OR=20,533 (7,200-58.559); OR=2,736 (1,225-6,113) con IC al 95 %. La característica conoce la Ley 30021 presento un p < 0.05. Conclusiones: Se identificó la prevalencia del sobrepeso es 22.5 % y obesidad 4.3% en los 138 niños, las características del niño con sobrepeso y obesidad son; antecedentes de peso al nacer con más de 4 kg y menos de 2.5 Kg, lactancia materna no exclusiva o artificial en los 06 primeros meses de vida, el aumento de peso (sobrepeso u obesidad) de uno o ambos padres, el dormir menor a 10 horas diarias, preparación de la lonchera del niño fuera del hogar, actividad física sedentaria y dieta con bajo nivel nutricional están relacionados con el sobrepeso y obesidad en los niños de estas tres instituciones iniciales privadas del Cusco.es_PE
dc.description.abstractBackground: Overweight and obesity are considered as the epidemic of the 21st century, affecting all countries, ethnic groups and ages, affecting over the last decades and its impact on morbidity and mortality and high health spending. The prevalence in the child and youth population is mostly in middle-income to low-income countries. The prevalence of childhood overweight in children under 05 years of age has increased in the last 35 years. Method: It is a descriptive, analytical study of quantitative approach of observational and transversal design. The sample of 138 preschoolers corresponds to 03 private initial educational institutions of Cusco, 2020. (X Results: the prevalence of overweight and obesity is 26.8 % represented by 37 preschoolers, of which 15 are overweight and 16 are overweight, obesity is 05 males and 01 female, the perinatal characteristic; birth weight in more than 4 kg and less than 2.5 kg presented a Chi 9,625 and a p <0.05 and Odds Ratio (OR) of 3,783 (1,582 - 9045) IC 95%; Regarding exclusive mixed or artificial lactation in the first 06 months of life, there is a Chi 2 of 6,069 with a p <0.05, the OR 2,612 (1,202 - 5,674), in the social characteristics the variables presented a p> 0.05; In the family characteristics, a p> 0.05 was presented for the variables working hours more than 8 hours, growth control and development of 3 to less visits per year, feeding with the parents once a day a p> 0.05, instead in the Variable hours of sleep less than 10 hours and increased weight of the parents have a p <0.05 and OR 15,943 (2,091-121,572) and OR 15,258 (5,773-40,324) with corresponding IC 95%, in the environmental characteristic preparation of the lunch box outside the home, physical activity from 3 hours to less per day, usual diet with low nutritional level was found at p <0.05 and OR 36.061 (8,173-159,108); OR = 20,533 (7,200-58,559); OR = 2,736 (1,225-6,113) with IC 95%. The variable knows the Law 30021 presented a p <0.05. 2 Conclusions: The prevalence of overweight was identified as 22.5% and obesity 4.3% in the 138 children, the characteristics of the overweight and obese child are a history of birth weight with more than 4 kg and less than 2.5 kg, non-exclusive or artificial breastfeeding in the first 06 months of life, weight gain (overweight or obesity) of one or both parents, sleeping less than 10 hours a day, preparing the child's lunch box outside the home, sedentary physical activity and a diet with low nutritional levels are related to overweight and obesity in children from these three initial private institutions in Cusco.en_US
