El presente trabajo de investigación, se realizó con el objetivo de describir la Cadena de
Valor en el Departamento de Emergencias y Cuidados Críticos en el Hospital Regional del
Cusco. Para el desarrollo de esta tesis, se pretendió conocer todas las actividades y funciones
que se realizan dentro del Departamento de Emergencias y Cuidados Críticos del Hospital
Regional del Cusco, con el fin de poder identificar los principales problemas que se
presentan.
La investigación tiene como variable la CADENA DE VALOR, una herramienta de gestión
y análisis estratégico que ayuda a determinar los fundamentos de ventaja competitiva de la
institución, considerando sus respectivas dimensiones: Actividades Primarias y dentro de ella
las sub dimensiones: Logística, Operaciones y Servicio; y la segunda dimensión Actividades
de Apoyo dentro de ella las sub dimensiones: Desarrollo de la Tecnología, Administración de
Recursos Humanos e Infraestructura de la Empresa.
Esta investigación es básica y no experimental, para lo cual se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta
por medio del instrumento que es el cuestionario con 67 ítems, a los 90 trabajadores del
Departamento de Emergencias y Cuidados Críticos del Hospital Regional del Cusco.
Según los resultados obtenidos se tiene que para la dimensión Actividades Primarias el
promedio es de 2.14 que esto significa que es medianamente adecuada, para la dimensión
Actividades de Apoyo se obtuvo un promedio de 1.65 que esto significa que es inadecuada en
consecuencia para la variable Cadena de Valor aplicada para el estudio de investigación en el
Departamento de Emergencias y Cuidados Críticos del Hospital Regional del Cusco, se
obtuvo un promedio de 1.90, podemos concluir con este índice que la cadena de valor es
medianamente adecuada.
Este estudio es de gran importancia para el Departamento de Emergencias y Cuidados
Críticos del Hospital Regional del Cusco porque a través de esta herramienta CADENA DE
VALOR se pudo identificar los principales problemas; para que estos puedan ser corregidos
para obtener un mejor servicio y crear una ventaja competitiva. The present research work was carried out with the objective of describing the Value Chain
in the Emergency and Critical Care Department at the Regional Hospital of Cusco. For the
development of this thesis, it was intended to know all the activities and functions performed
within the Emergency and Critical Care Department of the Regional Hospital of Cusco, in
order to identify the main problems that arise.
The research has as variable the VALUE CHAIN, a strategic analysis and management tool
that helps determine the fundamentals of the institution's competitive advantage, considering
its respective dimensions: Primary Activities and within it the sub dimensions: Logistics,
Operations and Service ; and the second dimension Support Activities within it the sub
dimensions: Technology Development, Human Resource Management and Enterprise
Infrastructure.
This research is basic and not experimental, for which the survey technique was used by
means of the instrument that is the questionnaire with 67 items, to the 90 workers of the
Department of Emergencies and Critical Care of the Regional Hospital of Cusco.
According to the results obtained, for the Primary Activities dimension the average is 2.14,
which means that it is moderately adequate, for the Support Activities dimension an average
of 1.65 was obtained, which means that it is inadequate in consequence for the variable Chain
of Applied value for the research study in the Department of Emergencies and Critical Care
of the Regional Hospital of Cusco, an average of 1.90 was obtained, we can conclude with
this index that the value chain is moderately adequate.
This study is of great importance for the Department of Emergencies and Critical Care of the
Regional Hospital of Cusco because through this VALUE CHAIN tool it was possible to
