Tesis titulada: Influencia del internet y redes sociales en las decisiones sobre el uso de
métodos anticonceptivos en estudiantes ingresantes, Universidad Andina del Cusco 2018-I. Objetivo: Determinar la influencia del internet y redes sociales en las decisiones sobre el uso de métodos anticonceptivos en estudiantes ingresantes de las Facultades de Ciencias de la Salud e Ingeniería y Arquitectura de la Universidad Andina del Cusco 2018-I. Metodología: Se realizó esta investigación con enfoque cuantitativo, correlacional, transversal con un diseño no experimental. Resultados: Las
características generales de los estudiantes son: edad promedio de 19 años, del total de
estudiantes ingresantes de la Facultad de Ingeniería y Arquitectura el 61,4% son hombres y el 38,6% son mujeres, en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud el 30,4% son
hombres y el 69,6% son mujeres, tienen pareja actualmente el 32,4% y el 67,6% no tienen pareja actualmente. La influencia que ejerce el internet como medio de información en las decisiones sobre el uso de métodos anticonceptivos menos significativa a diferencia de la influencia que ejerce las redes sociales en las decisiones
sobre el uso de métodos anticonceptivos. El método anticonceptivo elegido por información obtenida en internet y/o redes sociales por los estudiantes de la Facultad de
Ingeniería y Arquitectura es el preservativo en un 57.6%, el 12.0% píldora del día siguiente, el 11.4% método del ritmo y por los estudiantes de la Facultad de Ciencias de
la Salud es el preservativo en un 33.9%, el 9.6% método del ritmo, el 9.6% píldoras.
Conclusión: el internet y las redes sociales si influyen significativamente en la toma de
decisiones sobre el uso de métodos anticonceptivos. Methodology: This research was carried out with a quantitative, correlational, transversal approach with a non-experimental design. Results: The general

women, in the Faculty of Sciences of Health 30.4% are men and 69.6% are women, 32.4% have a partner and 67.6% currently have no partner. The influence exerted by the
internet as a means of information in decisions about the use of contraceptive methods
is less significant, unlike the influence exercised by social networks on decisions about
the use of contraceptive methods. The contraceptive method chosen for information obtained on the Internet and / or social networks by the students of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture is the condom by 57.6%, the 12.0% pill the next day, the
11.4% rhythm method and by the students of the Faculty of Health Sciences is the condom in 33.9%, the 9.6% rhythm method, the 9.6% pills. Conclusion: the internet and
social networks do have a significant influence on the decision making about the use of contraceptive methods.
