dc.description.abstractObjetivo: Describir la evolución de la úlcera crónica infectada, en los pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2, con manejo de oxigenoterapia hiperbárica, de los hospitales de tercer nivel en la ciudad del Cusco, marzo – mayo 2018. Métodos y materiales: Se trata de un estudio observacional, descriptivo, prospectivo longitudinal, constituido por 21 pacientes voluntarios sin conmorbilidad asociada que cumplían con los criterios de inclusión, 1 paciente retirado del estudio por no completar el número de sesiones. A cada sujeto se le determino la HbA1c, glucosa, glucosa antes y después de las sesiones de OTHB, se midió el área de la úlcera crónica después de cada sesión de OTHB y se observó la presencia de tejido de granulación en la úlcera. Resultados: Se observa que el 90% del total de los pacientes redujo el área de la úlcera crónica de forma buena, solo el 10 % de los pacientes presentó reducción del área de la úlcera crónica de forma deficiente; el 50% presento tejido de granulación al segundo día de tratamiento con OTHB y el 100% presenta tejido de granulación al sexto día de tratamiento de OTHB Conclusiones: El OTHB interviene en la evolución favorable de la úlcera crónica de pacientes diabéticos tipo 2, presentando un promedio del área recuperada del 51.15%, presentado valores máximos y mínimos de 85% y 16% respectivamentees_PE
dc.description.abstractObjective: To describe the evolution of chronic infected ulcer, in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2, with management of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, in third level hospitals in the city of Cusco, March - May 2018 Methods and materials: This is an observational, descriptive, prospective longitudinal study, consisting of 21 voluntary patients without associated conmorbidity who fulfilled the inclusion criteria, 1 patient withdrawn from the study for not completing the number of sessions. HbA1c, glucose, glucose before and after the HBOT sessions were determined for each subject, the area of the chronic ulcer was measured after each session of HBOT and the presence of granulation tissue in the ulcer was observed. Results: It is observed that 90% of the total of patients reduced the area of the chronic ulcer in a good way, only 10% of the patients presented reduction of the area of the chronic ulcer in a deficient way; 50% presented granulation tissue on the second day of treatment with HBOT and 100% presented granulation tissue on the sixth day of treatment with HBOT Conclusions: OTHB intervenes in the favorable evolution of chronic ulcer of diabetic patients type 2, presenting an average of the recovered area of 51.15%, presented maximum and minimum values of 85% and 16% respectivelyen_US
