Variabilidad del ángulo interincisivo en el biotipo facial según el indice de Vert como elementos diagnósticos en radiografías laterales de adolescentes del centro radiológico explora, periodo Enero -Noviembre, Cusco 2016.

Abstract

El objetivo de la presente investigación fue determinar la Variabilidad del ángulo interincisivo en el biotipo facial según el indice de Vert como elementos diagnósticos en radiografías laterales de adolescentes, del centro radiológico xplora de la ciudad del Cusco. Durante el Periodo de Enero a Noviembre del año 2016. El biotipo facial es el conjunto de caracteres morfológicos y funcionales que determinan la dirección de crecimiento y comportamiento de la cara, la determinación del biotipo facial es fundamental para poder diseñar planes de tratamientos, debido a que la aplicación de mecánicas ortodónticas pueden generar respuestas diferentes al ser aplicadas en pacientes con similares maloclusiones pero con distintos patrones de crecimiento; siendo el ángulo interincisivo una constate presente en diferentes estudios cefalométricos, en este estudio se analizó su comportamiento. Se utilizó el programa computarizado “NEMOTEC”, que es un programa que realiza distintos estudios cefalométricos, se aplicó a la muestra el estudio del cafalograma de Rickets y el índice de Vert, luego se procedió a promediar los valores del índice de vert en la ficha de recolección de datos ajustada a la edad de cada paciente. La investigación fue descriptiva, retrospectiva, transversal y relacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 232 radiografías laterales de pacientes que acudieron al Centro Radiológico Explora en la ciudad del Cusco, para lo que se utilizó una ficha de recolección de datos de acuerdo a los objetivos de la investigación. Los resultados fueron analizados mediante estadística descriptiva. En este estudio se encontró que existe relación entre el biotipo facial y la presentación del ángulo interincisivo, se presenta mayor cantidad de pacientes con el ángulo interincisivo disminuido en pacientes dolicofaciales, mayor porcentaje de pacientes con el ángulo interincisivo dentro de la norma en pacientes Mesofaciales y mayor porcentaje de pacientes con el ángulo interincisivo aumentado en pacientes braquifaciales.

The facial biotype is the set of morphological and functional characters that determine the direction of growth and behavior of the face, the determination of the facial biotype is fundamental to be able to design treatment plans, because the application of orthodontic mechanics can generate different responses to the be applied in patients with similar malocclusions but with different growth patterns; with the interincisive angle being a constant present in different cephalometric studies, this study analyzed its behavior.The computerized program “NEMOTEC“ was used, which is a program that performs different cephalometric studies, the study of Rickets' cafalogram and the Vert index was applied to the sample, then the values of the vert index were averaged on the tab. of data collection adjusted to the age of each patient. The research was descriptive, retrospective, transversal and relational. The sample consisted of 232 lateral radiographs of patients who visited the Centro Radiológico Explora in the city of Cusco, for which a datasheet was used to collect data according to the research objectives. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistics. In this study we found that there is a relationship between the facial biotype and the presentation of the interincisive angle, we present a greater number of patients with the decreased interincisive angle in dolicofacial patients, greater percentage of patients with the interincisive angle within the norm in Mesofacial patients and greater percentage of patients with increased interincisive angle in braquifacial patients.
