El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la frecuencia del Síndrome de Quervain
(SDQ) en estudiantes del Centro Estomatológico Universitario (CEU) “Luis Vallejos Santoni”
de la Universidad Andina del Cusco (UAC) 2023 – II, el estudio de alcance descriptivo no
experimental, transversal, prospectivo de campo. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 123
estudiantes que llevaban al menos una asignatura clínica y que acuden al CEU de la UAC. para
el análisis se utilizó una ficha de recolección de datos modificada por la investigadora con la
ayuda del Medico encargado de la calibración. Como resultados se encontró frecuencias
diferentes en las tres pruebas diagnosticadas de Finkestein, Eichhoff y WHAT con 13.8%,
44.7% y 41.5% respectivamente, a la prueba Kappa de concordancia de pruebas diagnósticas se
encontró una concordancia baja lo cual determina que no existe una frecuencia establecida.
Existen diferencias de distribución de la presencia de Sindrome de Quervain en relación con el
sexo siendo las estudiantes mujeres con mayor frecuencia del Síndrome con las dos pruebas
diagnósticas de Eichhoff y WHAT, de acuerdo a la edad la presencia de Síndrome de Quervain
se ve relacionado entre las edades de 18 a 25 años y al semestre académico encontramos
frecuencia en estudiantes de séptimo y octavo semestre. The present research work had the objective of determining the frequency of Quervain
Syndrome (DQS) in pupils of the "Luis Vallejos Santoni" university stomatological center of
the Universidad Andina del Cusco 2023 - II, the study was descriptive, non-experimental, cross-
sectional, prospective field study. The sample consisted of 123 students taking at least one
clinical subject and attending the UAC Stomatological Center. For the analysis, a data collection
form was used, elaborated by the researcher with the help of the doctor in charge of calibration.
As results, different frequencies were found in the three diagnosed tests of Finkestein, Eichhoff
and WHAT with 13.8%, 44.7% and 41.5% respectively, the Kappa test of agreement of
diagnostic tests found a low agreement which determines that there is no frequency established.
There are differences in the distribution of the presence of Quervain Syndrome in relation to
sex, with female students having a higher frequency of the Syndrome with the two diagnostic
tests of Eichhoff and WHAT. According to age, the presence of Quervain Syndrome is related
between the ages of 18 At 25 years old and at the academic semester we found frequency in
students in the seventh and eighth semester.
