La investigación titulada “RIESGO DE PADECER DIABETES MELLITUS TIPO 2
SEGÚN EL TEST DE FINDRISK EN INTERNOS DEL ESTABLECIMIENTO
PENITENCIARIO DE VARONES QQUENCORO – CUSCO 2022” tuvo como
objetivo determinar el riesgo de padecer Diabetes mellitus tipo 2, mediante el test de
FINDRISK en internos del establecimiento penitenciario de varones Qquencoro Cusco
2022.
Metodología: La investigación fue de alcance descriptivo. Con un diseño observacional
y transversal. La muestra fue de 337 internos, a los que se les aplicó el test de FINDRISK.
Resultados: Los resultados obtenidos fueron: 35,6% tienen de 45 a 54 años; 6,4% tienen
perímetro abdominal entre 92 a 102 cm; 68,5% se halló con un Índice de Masa Corporal
de 25 a 30; 74,8% realizan actividad física todos los días; 95,8% no consumen frutas y
verduras a diario; 20,2% no toma medicamento para la hipertensión; 13,9% tienen nivel
elevado de glucosa en sangre; 27,6% tienen familiares que padecen de diabetes; 8,01%
presenta riesgo bajo; 33,23% presenta riesgo ligeramente elevado; 30,27% tiene riesgo
moderado; 27,0% presenta riesgo alto y 1,48% riesgo muy alto de padecer diabetes
mellitus tipo II durante los próximos 10 años. The objective of the research entitled "RISK OF DIABETES MELLITUS TYPE 2
DIABETES MELLITUS ACCORDING TO THE FINDRISK TEST IN INMATES
OF THE QQUENCORO MALE PENITENTIARY ESTABLISHMENT - CUSCO
2022" was to determine the risk of suffering from Diabetes mellitus type 2, using the
FINDRISK test in inmates of the Qquencoro Male Penitentiary Establishment - Cusco
2022.
Methodology: The research was descriptive in scope. With an observational and cross-
sectional design. The sample consisted of 337 inmates, to whom the FINDRISK test was
applied.
Results: The results obtained were: 35.6% are 45 to 54 years old; 6.4% have abdominal
perimeter between 92 to 102 cm; 68.5% were found with a Body Mass Index of 25 to 30;
74.8% perform physical activity every day; 95.8% do not consume fruits and vegetables
daily; 20.2% do not take medication for hypertension; 13.9% have elevated blood
glucose; 27.6% have family members with diabetes; 8.01% are at low risk; 33.23% are at
slightly elevated risk; 30.27% are at moderate risk; 27.0% are at high risk; and 1.48% are
at very high risk of developing type II diabetes mellitus during the next 10 years.
