Propuesta de restauración y rehabilitación arquitectónica del polvorín de San Carlos en el Cusco

Abstract

El presente trabajo de tesis es el resultado de una investigación basada en documentos históricos y planimétricos, que formula a través de ella una: propuesta de restauración y rehabilitación arquitectónica del polvorín de San Carlos en Cusco; una estructura edilicia declarada patrimonio arquitectónico de la Nación que ha sido abandonada y olvidada a través del tiempo, constituyendo un referente representativo único de la tipología de la arquitectura militar del siglo XVIII en el Cusco. A partir de ello el trabajo de tesis tuvo como objetivo general: la formulación de una propuesta de restauración y rehabilitación arquitectónica del polvorín de San Carlos para un nuevo uso de “Espacio cultural, público, flexible y seguro para la ciudad del Cusco”. Es así como, la propuesta me permite intervenir en la estructura edilicia como también contribuir con su entorno inmediato, integrándolo, articulándolo y respetando el paisaje urbano en la ciudad.

This thesis work is the result of an investigation based on historical and planimetric documents, which formulates through it a: architectural restoration and rehabilitation proposal of the San Carlos powder magazine in Cusco; a building structure declared architectural heritage of the Nation that has been abandoned and forgotten over time, constituting a unique representative reference of the typology of military architecture of the 18th century in Cusco. Based on this, the thesis work had as a general objective: the formulation of a proposal for the restoration and architectural rehabilitation of the San Carlos powder magazine for a new use of “Cultural, public, flexible and safe space for the city of Cusco.“ Thus, the proposal allows me to intervene in the building structure as well as contribute to its immediate surroundings, integrating it, articulating it and respecting the urban landscape in the city.
