Autocuidado de accesos vasculares en pacientes sometidos a hemodiálisis en el Hospital Nacional Adolfo Guevara Velasco Essalud, Cusco 2018.

Abstract

La presente investigación intitulada: “AUTOCUIDADO DE ACCESOS VASCULARES EN PACIENTES SOMETIDOS A HEMODIÁLISIS EN EL HOSPITAL NACIONAL ADOLFO GUEVARA VELASCO ESSALUD, CUSCO 2018” tuvo como objetivo: Describir las características del autocuidado de accesos vasculares en pacientes sometidos a hemodiálisis en el Hospital Nacional Adolfo Guevara Velasco EsSalud, Cusco 2018. Se aplicó un diseño metodológico: descriptivo y transversal. Alcanzando los resultados: 48.1% de pacientes tenían de 40 a 59 años, 57.4% son de sexo masculino, 33.3% con grado de instrucción superior técnico y superior universitario respectivamente, 50% es casado(a), 33.3% tiene insuficiencia renal por nefropatía diabética, 53.7% tenían catéter venoso central y 46.3% fístula arteriovenosa. Respecto al autocuidado de accesos vasculares, en la dimensión: Cuidados generales de tratamiento, el 100% siempre asiste a hemodiálisis, 81.5% siempre asiste a controles médicos, 75.9% siempre cumple con el tratamiento farmacológico. En la dimensión: cuidado higiénico, 33.3% presenta manos sucias, 61.1% tiene uñas sucias y largas, 20.4% acude con ropa sucia. En la dimensión: Cuidado preventivo de fístula arteriovenosa, 83.4% utilizan agua y jabón para la higiene de la fistula, 58.3% a veces realiza compresiones con una pelota de goma, 37.5% a veces levanta peso con el brazo de la fístula, 79.2% siempre evita compresiones en la zona de la fistula, 58.3% verifica la vibración de la fístula diariamente. En la dimensión: cuidado preventivo de catéter venoso central, 46.7% utiliza una bolsa plástica para cubrir el catéter cuando se ducha, el 86.7% nunca manipula el catéter, 70% efectúa presión y acude de inmediato a la unidad de hemodiálisis cuando el catéter se rompe o sale de su lugar.

The present research entitled: “SELF-CARE OF VASCULAR ACCESS IN PATIENTS UNDERGOING HEMODIALYSIS AT THE ADOLFO GUEVARA VELASCO ESSALUD NATIONAL HOSPITAL, CUSCO 2018”, aimed to: describe the characteristics of self-care of vascular access in patients undergoing hemodialysis at the National Hospital Adolfo Guevara Velasco EsSalud, Cusco 2018. A methodological design was applied: descriptive and transversal. Reaching the results: 48.1% of patients were from 40 to 59 years old, 57.4% were male; 33.3% with a higher technical education degree and university superior respectively, 50% were married, 33.3% had kidney failure due to diabetic nephropathy, 53.7% had central venous catheter and 46.3% arteriovenous fistula. Regarding the self-care of vascular accesses, in the dimension: general treatment care, 100% always attend hemodialysis, 81.5% always attend medical controls, 75.9% always comply with pharmacological treatment. In the dimension: Hygienic care, 33.3% have dirty hands, 61.1% have dirty and long nails, 20.4% go with dirty clothes. In the dimension: arteriovenous fistula preventive care, 83.4% use water and soap for fistula hygiene, 58.3% sometimes perform compressions with a rubber ball, 37.5% sometimes lift weight with the arm of the fistula, 79.2% always prevents compressions in the area of the fistula, 58.3% verifies the vibration of the fistula daily. In the dimension: preventive care of central venous catheter, 46.7% use a plastic bag to cover the catheter when showering, 86.7% never manipulate the catheter, 70% make pressure and go immediately to the hemodialysis unit when the catheter it breaks or leaves its place.
