RESUMEN 
 
 El presente trabajo contiene una investigación sobre la mejora de la gestión de  
almacén, de la empresa Álicorp S.A.A. El estudio parte de la necesidad de 
encontrar una solución a los problemas que afectan a la gestión de almacén, 
los cuales perjudican a su vez la productividad y correcto funcionamiento de los 
diferentes procesos (proceso de recepción, proceso de almacenamiento y 
proceso de despacho).  
Álicorp S.A.A.- Cusco, al dedicarse a la distribución de productos de consumo  
masivo, ha experimentado un incremento en su demanda generando que el 
espacio destinado para el almacenamiento de mercancías, resulte insuficiente, 
provocando modificaciones en la distribución del almacén afectando 
directamente a los procesos de recepción, almacenamiento y despacho.   
Para mejorar la gestión de almacén, se propone realizar una nueva distribución 
del mismo, es decir, un nuevo lay out. Dentro de esta nueva distribución resalta 
la implementación de racks en un área determinada y la habilitación de una 
zona de picking, que permita solucionar los problemas de la falta de espacio y 
a su vez, las fallas en los procesos de recepción, almacenamiento y despacho, 
que esta generó.   
Utilizando herramientas como guías de entrevista y formatos de toma de 
tiempos se evaluarán los procesos para identificar las falencias en los procesos 
de la gestión de almacén, y luego se evaluarán los resultados del impacto 
generado por la implementación de la propuesta de mejora. 
 
 
 
ABSTRACT 
 
The present work contains an investigation on the improvement of the 
warehouse management, of the company Álicorp S.A.A. The study comes from 
the need to find a solution to the problems that affect the warehouse 
management, which in turn affect the productivity and correct functioning of the 
different processes (reception process, storage process and dispatch process).  
Álicorp SAA - Cusco, has dedicated itself to the distribution of products of mass  
consumption, has experienced an increase in its demand generating that the 
space designated for the storage of merchandise, is insufficient, causing 
changes in the distribution of the warehouse directly affecting the processes of 
Reception, storage and dispatch.  
To improve the management of the warehouse, it is proposed to make a new  
distribution of the warehouse, wich is, a new lay out. Within this new distribution  
highlights the implementation of racks in a certain area and the implementation 
of a picking area, which allows to solve the problems of the lack of space and, 
in turn, the failures in the reception, storage and dispatch processes, which It 
generated Using tools such as interview guides and timing formats, processes 
will be evaluated to identify failures in warehouse management processes, and 
then the results of the impact generated by the implementation of the 
improvement proposal will be evaluated.
