RESUMEN 
 El presente estudio tiene como fin dar a conocer las bases teóricas, 
conceptuales y técnicas de la Seguridad Basada en el Comportamiento (SBC), 
que está orientada a cambiar los comportamientos inseguros de los 
trabajadores por comportamientos seguros de manera que se logre mantener a 
través del tiempo. Además busca mejorar el Sistema Integrado de Gestión de 
la empresa EGEMSA en las reducciones de incidentes y/o accidentes 
producidas por comportamientos inseguros, además de contribuir al 
cumplimiento de objetivos propuestos por el Sistema de Gestión de Seguridad 
y Salud en el Trabajo.  
 
En el trabajo de investigación se describen los objetivos que se pretende 
alcanzar con la aplicación de la metodología del programa de Seguridad 
Basada en el Comportamiento exponiendo experiencias anteriores de 
aplicación de la metodología de SBC, así como las bases teóricas que 
fundamentan la aplicación de esta herramienta para mejorar la actitud de los 
trabajadores hacia la realización de sus actividades en condiciones seguras. 
 
 Para cumplir con los objetivos establecidos se realiza un diagnóstico de la 
situación actual de la empresa, la cual es el punto de partida para la 
recolección de datos, para después aplicar la metodología del Programa de 
Seguridad Basada en el comportamiento y aplicada a EGEMSA, para así 
obtener resultados que nos permiten saber las mejoras antes y después de 
aplicada y de esta manera obtener las conclusiones acordes a los objetivos 
propuestos en la investigación. 
 
 El programa de seguridad basada en comportamiento logro mejorar las 
actitudes de los trabajadores de la empresa y mejorar los indicadores

ABSTRACT 
 The present study has as purpose to give to know the theoretical foundations, 
conceptual and technical security based on the Behavior (SBC), which is aimed 
at changing behavior unsure of workers for safe behavior so as to achieve 
maintain over time. It also seeks to improve the Integrated Management System 
of the company EGEMSA reductions in incidents and/or accidents caused by 
unsafe behaviors, in addition to contributing to the fulfilment of the objectives 
proposed by the System of Management of Safety and Health at Work.  
In the research work describes the objectives to be achieved with the 
implementation of the methodology of the program of security based on the past 
experiences of exposing behavior application of the methodology of SBC, as 
well as the theoretical foundations that underlie the application of this tool to 
improve the attitude of the employees toward the realization of its activities in 
safe conditions.  
To meet the objectives set were performs a diagnostic of the current situation of 
the company, which is the starting point for data collection, and then apply the 
methodology of the Program of security based on the behavior and applied to 
EGEMSA, so as to obtain results that allow us to know the improvements 
before and after applied and this handle obtain conclusions consistent with the 
objectives proposed in the research.  
The security program behavior based achievement improve attitudes of the 
workers of the company and improve the indicators related to the system of 
Safety and Health at Work.
