FORMA FACIAL EN RELACION A LA FORMA DEL INCISIVO 
CENTRAL SUPERIOR Y ARCADA DENTAL EN ESTUDIANTES DE LA 
ESCUELA PROFESIONAL DE ESTOMATOLOGIA DE LA

RESUMEN 
Objetivo: evaluar la forma facial con respecto a la forma de incisivo central y la forma 
de arcada dental en estudiantes de 18 - 26 años de edad de la escuela profesional de 
estomatología de la Universidad Andina del Cusco – 2019. 
Materiales y métodos: Este estudio fue de tipo descriptivo comparativo, de corte 
transversal, en el cual se seleccionó una muestra de 217 estudiantes, 87 varones y 130 
mujeres, a los cuales se les realizo un examen clínico intraoral y extraoral para 
determinar la forma de rostro, forma de incisivos centrales superiores y forma de arcada 
dental. se utilizó el índice facial total de kollman para determinar la forma facial, el 
método de Williams para determinar la forma de incisivo central, y para determinar la 
forma de arcada dental se realizó de forma visual con la clasificación de Carbo Ayala. 
Se aplicó el estadístico chi cuadrado trabajando a un nivel de significancia de 0.05. 
 Resultados: Se halló una correspondencia de la forma entre los braquifaciales con 
respecto a la forma de incisivo. Se encontró una correspondencia de la forma facial y 
la forma de arco dental superior en los braquifaciales y mesofaciales. (p>0.05) 
La forma facial no se asocia a la forma de arco dental superior, según la prueba 
estadística chi cuadrado esta relación no fue significativa p=0.233 (p>0.05), se encontró 
una correspondencia de la forma facial y la forma de arco dental inferior en los 
dolicofaciales y braquifaciales, según la prueba estadística chi cuadrado esta relación 
no fue significativa p=0.142 (p>0.05) quiere decir que la forma facial no se asocia a la 
forma del arco dental inferior.  
Conclusión: No existe relación entre la forma facial, forma de incisivo central superior 
y la forma de arcada dental en los alumnos de la escuela profesional de estomatología 
de la universidad andina del Cusco.

SUMMARY 
Objective: Evaluating facial the way regarding the way of central incisor and the way of 
dental arcade in students of 18 2019 - 26 elderly years of the professional school of 
stomatology of the Andean University of the Cusco – 2019. 
Materials and methods: This study went from descriptive comparative, transverse- 
court type, in the one that one selected 217 students' sign, 87 males and 130 women 
in, to the ones that I accomplish them to him a clinical exam to intraoral and extra-oral it 
came true of visual form with Carbo Ayala's classification to determine the way of face, 
the form of central superior front teeth and form of dental arcade utilized Kollman’s facial 
total index to determine facial way, Williams's method to determine the way of central 
incisor itself, and for to determine the way of dental arcade. 
The statistician applied over himself square chi working a level of significance of 0,05. 
 Results: You found a mail of the way between the braquifaciales regarding the way of 
incisor. You found a mail of facial the way and the way of superior dental arch in the 
braquifaciales and mesofaciales. (p 0,05) 
The facial the way the square chi does not join the way of superior dental arch, according 
to the statistical proof this relation was not significant p 0,233 (p 0,05), the square chi 
found a mail of facial the way and the way of inferior dental arch in the dolicofaciales 
and braquifaciales, according to the statistical proof this relation was not significant p ( 
p 0,05 ) it wants to say 0,142 than facial the way does not join the way of the inferior 
dental arch.  
Conclusion: Does not exist relation between the facial the way, form of central superior 
incisor and the way of dental arcade in the pupils of the professional school of 
stomatology of the Andean university of the Cusco.
