RESUMEN 
La presente investigación sobre “Productividad y Gestión Empresarial en una 
Empresa de Generación Eléctrica, Caso: EGEMSA, período 2013- 2018” surge como 
necesidad de conocer la incidencia de la gestión empresarial de la rehabilitación y 
ampliación de la capacidad de producción de EGEMSA sobre la productividad, 
mostrando los cambios significativos en los procesos derivados de las mejoras 
tecnológicas y mejorando permanentemente las características del capital humano, que la 
llevaron a lograr un buen posicionamiento dentro del Sector de Generación Eléctrica. 
En el transcurso del periodo de estudio, EGEMSA fue incrementando su cartera 
de clientes, así mismo al año 2018 se hizo un aporte de 1.028% de energía al SEIN, cifra 
que fue ascendiendo a lo largo de los años, debido a que la empresa incrementó su 
capacidad de producción y la constante preocupación de abastecer al mercado energético; 
la productividad de los factores de producción presenta una tendencia creciente, siendo 
notable el salto de esta luego de la puesta en marcha de la ampliación de la fase II de la 
CHM el año 2015, pasando de una producción de 714.76 GWh a 1,285.44 GWh. 
Este resultado es refrendado por el análisis económico y financiero sobre los 
estados financieros, que en los indicadores de gestión, solvencia, liquidez y rentabilidad 
muestra tendencias crecientes.

ABSTRACT 
This research on "Productivity and Business Management in a Power Generation 
Company, Case: EGEMSA, 2013-2018 period" arises as the need to know the incidence 
of the business management of the rehabilitation and the expansion of the production 
capacity of EGEMSA on productivity, showing significant changes in the processes 
derived from technological improvements and permanently improving the characteristics 
of human capital, which will achieve a good positioning within the Electricity Generation 
Sector. 
During the study period, EGEMSA was increasing its client portfolio, as well as 
in 2018, a contribution of 1,028% of energy was made to the SEIN, a figure that was 
increasing over the years, due to the company increased its capacity of production and 
the constant concern of supply to the energy market; the productivity of the factors of 
production presents an increasing trend, being notable the jump of this one and soon the 
beginning of the extension of the phase II of the CHM the year 2015, happening of a 
production of 714.76 GWh to 1,285.44 GWh. 
This result is endorsed by the economic and financial analysis of the financial 
statements, which in the management, solvency, liquidity and profitability indicators 
show increasing trends.
