RESUMEN 
 
Objetivo: El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar 
el Nivel de riesgo postural de los operadores de la Clínica Estomatológica 
Luis Vallejos Santoni según sexo, edad, área de especialidad y semestre 
académico. 
Material y método: Se utilizo la Ficha de observación postural “Mapeto-Cl” 
en alumnos de la Clínica Estomatológica de la UAC. Para lo cual se trabajó 
con tipo de estudio Descriptivo de enfoque cualitativo-transversal, teniendo 
una muestra de 99 alumnos que cumplían con los criterios de inclusión y 
exclusión posteriormente expuestos, de los cuales 46 pertenecen al sexo 
masculino y 54 pertenecen al sexo femenino.   
El tipo de técnica que se utilizo fue la de la Observacional Directa, mediante 
el cual se empleó la ficha de observación Mapeto-Cl que miden netamente 
las posturas que optan los operadores que ejercen la odontología.  
Resultados: El nivel de riesgo postural fue Inadecuada con un porcentaje 
del 79.8% y del 20.2% parcialmente adecuada. Según el sexo se determinó 
que el 50.5% corresponde al sexo femenino obteniendo así un nivel postural 
inadecuado, según edad se determinó que el grupo etario con mayor 
incidencia a optar por posturas inadecuadas fue de 22-25 años con un 
porcentaje de 39.4% siendo el resultado más elevado. Según el semestre 
académico se determina que el octavo semestre tiene el porcentaje más 
elevado 32.2% y según el área de especialidad se concluyó que en 
Prostodoncia Clínica I y II es el área con el porcentaje más elevado de 
14.1%.   
Conclusiones 
De los 99 alumnos que participaron en el estudio, el 79.8% poseen un nivel 
de riesgo Inadecuado (Alto), el 20.2% posee un nivel de riesgo Parcialmente 
Adecuado. Por lo tanto, es necesaria la recomendación y actuación de 
programas preventivos sobre posturas en la Odontología.

ABSTRACT 
 
Objective: The objective of this research was to determine the level of 
postural risk of the operators of the Luis Vallejos Santoni Stomatological 
Clinic according to sex, age, specialty area and academic semester. 
 Material and method: The Postural Observation Card "Mapeto-Cl" was 
used in students of the Stomatology Clinic of the UAC. For which we worked 
with descriptive study type of qualitative-transversal approach, having a 
sample of 99 students who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria 
subsequently exposed, of which 46 belong to the male sex and 54 belong to 
the female sex. 
The type of technique used was that of the Direct Observation, through which 
the Mapeto-Cl observation file was used, which presents 12 items that clearly 
measure the positions that operators who practice dentistry choose. 
Results: The level of postural risk was inadequate with a percentage of 
79.8% and 20.2% partially adequate. According to sex it was determined that 
the female sex opted for an Inadequate risk level of 50.5%, according to age 
it was determined that the age group with the highest incidence to opt for 
inappropriate postures was 22-25 years with a percentage of 39.4%, the 
result being highest. According to the academic semester it was determined 
that the eighth semester has the highest percentage 32.2% and according to 
the area of specialty it was determined that Clinical Prosthodontics I and II is 
the area with the highest percentage of 14.1%. 
Conclusions: Of the 99 students who participated in the study, 79.8% had 
an Inadequate (High) risk level, 20.2% had a Partially Adequate risk level 
and. Therefore, the recommendation and action of preventive programs on 
postures in dentistry is necessary.
