RESUMEN 
 
En el presente trabajo de investigación el objetivo principal fue determinar la 
calidad de vida en relación a las condiciones orales en madres gestantes que acuden 
al Centro de Salud de Manco Ccapac Cusco – 2018, el estudio fue con un enfoque 
cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo, transversal, prospectivo y correlacional, con una 
población de de 169 madres gestantes, como instrumento se utilizó para calidad de 
vida el cuestionario de OHIP-SP, con 14 interrogantes, para las condiciones orales 
se utilizó dos odontogramas para medir el CPOD, la Higiene Oral (IHO) y el índice 
gingival  de Loe y Silness, las misma fueron validadas por 03 juicios de expertos y 
la confiabilidad fue mediante el estadístico del alfa de Crombach la misma fue de 
0,677, siendo los resultados, la calidad de vida fue de regular  a malo; en relación a 
las condiciones orales de acuerdo al rango de edad prevalente fue de 18 a 36 años, 
el nivel educativo fue de secundaria completa, el estrato social medio y el estado 
civil prevalece en convivientes, así mismo el CPOD fue  muy bajo, el índice de 
Higiene Oral fue regular, mientras que el Índice Gingival presenta de leve a 
moderada inflamación, por lo tanto se concluye la calidad de vida  en relación a las 
condiciones orales del CPOD, IHO  e IG, en madres gestantes que acudieron al 
Centro de Salud Manco Ccapac, Cusco 2018, mediante la prueba de chi cuadrado 
estadísticamente son dependientes, por lo tanto podemos concluir que la calidad de 
vida depende de las condiciones orales, siendo valedera la hipótesis planteada.

ABSTRACT 
 
In this research work the main objective was to determine the quality of life in relation 
to oral conditions in pregnant mothers who attend the Health Center of Manco Ccapac 
Cusco - 2018, the study was with a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional approach , 
prospective and correlational, with a population of 169 pregnant mothers, as an OHIP-
SP questionnaire was used for quality of life, with 14 questions. For oral conditions, two 
odontograms were used to measure DMFT, oral hygiene ( IHO) and the gingival index 
of Loe and Silness, the same ones were validated by 03 expert judgments and the 
reliability was by means of the statistic of the Crombach alpha it was of 0.677, being the 
results, the quality of life was from regular to bad ; in relation to oral conditions 
according to the prevailing age range was from 18 to 36 years, the educational level was 
full secondary, the average social stratum and marital status prevailed in cohabitants, 
likewise the DMFT was very low, the index of Oral Hygiene was regular, while the 
Gingival Index presents mild to moderate inflammation, therefore the quality of life is 
concluded in relation to the oral conditions of the DMFT, IHO and IG, in pregnant 
mothers who attended the Manco Health Center Ccapac, Cusco 2018, using the chi-
square test statistically are dependent, therefore we can conclude that the quality of life 
depends on oral conditions, the hypothesis is valid.
