RESUMEN 
 
 
 
El estudio “CONOCIMIENTOS SOBRE MÉTODOS ANTICONCEPTIVOS EN 
ESTUDIANTES INGRESANTES A LA FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS DE LA SALUD 
DE LA UNIVERSIDAD ANDINA DEL CUSCO, 2015-I, se realizó con el objetivo 
describir el  conocimiento  sobre  métodos  anticonceptivos  en estudiantes 
ingresantes a la Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud, fue un estudio descriptivo 
transversal, efectuado en una muestra representativa de 155 estudiantes con un 
muestreo probabilístico estratificado. 
 
 
Encontró que predominan los estudiantes de 16 a 20 años con 64%, la mayoría son 
de sexo femenino, la mayor población porcentual corresponde a la carrera de 
psicología con 34%. 
 
 
Mayoritariamente conocen la definición, usos, tipos, duración e indicaciones de los 
método anticonceptivos, 96% respondió que son naturales y artificiales. No 
diferencian claramente los métodos naturales, mayoritariamente señalaron que los 
métodos transitorios son aquellos que tienen efectos durante su uso adecuado y 
pierden efectividad al ser descontinuados, hay confusiones en cuanto a cuando se 
puede usar los métodos anticonceptivos, asi como la indicación de las píldoras, 
inyectable y t de cobre, en cuanto a métodos definitivos hay confusiones en el 
conocimiento de la vasectomía.

ABSTRACT 
 
 
The study "Knowledge about contraception in students of Facultad de Ciencias de 
la Salud de la Universidad Andina del Cusco, 2015-I”, was conducted to 
describe the knowledge about contraceptive methods in incoming students at the 
Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud, was a cross-sectional study, conducted in a 
representative sample of 155 students with a stratified probability sampling. 
 
 
He found that predominate students 16 to 20 years with 64%, the majority are 
women, the highest percentage population corresponds to the psychology with 
34%. 
 
 
Mostly know the definition, applications, types, duration and indications of the 
contraceptive method, 96% responded that they are natural and artificial. Not 
clearly differentiate natural methods, mainly noted that transient methods are 
those that have effects for its proper use and lose effectiveness to be 
discontinued, there is confusion as to when you can use contraceptive methods, as 
well as an indication of the pills, injectable, T of copper, regarding definitive 
methods no confusion in understanding vasectomy.
