RESUMEN 
  
El objetivo principal de la presente investigación fue determinar la influencia del 
emprendimiento artesanal textil en el desarrollo económico de los artesanos 
textiles de la Provincia de Canchis, durante el periodo 2014-2016.  Se partió de 
la hipótesis general de que dicho emprendimiento artesanal textil ha implicado 
un desarrollo económico entre los artesanos textiles de la zona de estudio.  
Para el desarrollo de la investigación se utilizó una metodología de enfoque 
mixto con carácter descriptivo y no experimental. aplicándose una encuesta a 
una muestra por conveniencia de 196 artesanos textiles de una población de 
351 artesanos que conforman 27 asociaciones artesanales ubicadas en los 8 
distritos de la Provincia de Canchis, y cuyas actividades productivas y 
comercializadoras fueron realizadas con el asesoramiento del Grupo de 
Iniciativa de Economía Solidaria (GIES-Canchis).  Los resultados de la 
investigación señalan que el emprendimiento artesanal textil mediante 
asociaciones artesanales cuya gestión, producción y comercialización es 
afrontada de manera colectiva, constituyo un factor de desarrollo económico de 
los artesanos textiles expresado en un incremento de los ingresos netos 
mensuales por concepto de artesanía, lo que a su vez permitió mejorar algunos 
indicadores de su calidad de vida.

ABSTRACT 
  
The main objective of the present investigation was to determine the influence 
of the artisanal textile enterprise in the economic development of the textile 
artisans of the Province of Canchis during the period 2014-2016. It was based 
on the general hypothesis that this textile craft enterprise has involved an 
economic development among the textile artisans of the study area. For the 
development of the research a methodology of mixed approach was used with 
descriptive and non-experimental character. A sample survey was conducted 
for the convenience of 196 textile artisans from a population of 351 artisans 
comprising 27 artisanal associations located in the 8 districts of the Province of 
Canchis, whose production and marketing activities were carried out with the 
advice of the Initiative Group Solidarity Economy (GIES-Canchis). The results of 
the research indicate that artisan handicraft entrepreneurship through artisan 
associations whose management, production and commercialization is 
collectively addressed constitutes a factor of economic development for textile 
artisans, expressed in an increase in monthly net income for handicrafts, Which 
in turn allowed to improve some indicators of their quality of life.
